how to get involved

Keep us Updated!

FMHAC is nothing without the interest and contributions of its members. One of the easiest ways you can contribute to FMHAC is by keeping us informed on events and items of interest to professionals in forensic mental health. Events open to the public, job openings at your agency, legislation you know something about, new organizations, interesting links, and articles of interest are all important to the membership of FMHAC and we appreciate your help in gathering and distributing that information.

Serve on a Committee

Serving on one of our committees is a great way to meet people working in forensic mental health while contributing to your community and helping to shape the field.  If you would like to join a committee please send a letter of interest and bio or resume addressed to the appropriate chairperson.

Volunteer on a Project

Although FMHAC has no formal volunteer program, there are often projects appropriate for volunteers. Please contact the Executive Director for information on current projects.

Write a Newsletter Article

FMHAC sends a substantive newsletter each fall that requires several articles. This is a great way to send out information on an innovative program or present early research results. Articles submitted for inclusion in the newsletter are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.
